Forex Trading: The Best Currencies To Trade
When you're first starting out it can be fairly difficult to decide which currencies are the best ones to trade. Do you watch all of them or only concentrate on one or two?
Well in truth there's no right and wrong answer. If you have a rigid trading system which produces consistent profits whatever the currency pair, then you may want to open a window for each pair, ideally on a multiple monitor set-up, so you can watch for your entry criteria to be met for any of these pairs.
So for example, let's say your trading criteria is a MACD crossover, a Supertrend change of colour, and RSI in overbought/oversold territory.
In this instance, you would simply create graphs containing this data for every major currency pair, and wait for a suitable entry for any of them.
That's one approach. Another approach, and one favoured by myself, is to only concentrate on the major pairs. This is because they are the most traded, and therefore charting patterns and technical indicators are generally more reliable and tradeable.
Another reason why I take this approach is because these pairs have the tightest spreads. This is extremely important because you really don't want to be trading pairs that have wide spreads simply because it limits your profits more and puts added pressure on you to make correct calls.
Over time these wider spreads can really eat into your profits, so I generally stick to three of the four major currency pairs - GBP/USD, EUR/USD and USD/JPY (USD/CHF is the other but that has a spread of 4 points with the broker I use).
I can easily watch these three pairs at once and watch for any entry points, but if you're just starting out, another approach could be to just concentrate on one pair. You will find that although most pairs follow technical indicators very well, each pair has it's own personality and so by concentrating on just one pair, and learning how it behaves, you may find this is the most profitable approach to take.
Another factor is your location and the time at which you are available to trade. For example, the GBP/USD is most active between around 8.00 GMT and 20.00 GMT, so if you're based in Australia, for example, you would miss most of the action if you wanted to trade in the daytime where you are.
So to conclude, there aren't really any best currencies to trade, each pair is potentially very profitable. However, the major pairs generally have the tightest spreads and are the most actively traded, and generally conform very well to technical analysis, so these are the currencies I would recommend trading.

Forex Trade Review
Last Friday, Non-Farm Payrolls is out. This is like fuel for Usd and it effect all pair especially eur/usd and gbp/usd. Last friday the report came out a mixed bag. People are confused and the price swing up and down. I was on the losing side of the trade but because of the swing at certain point I was 30 pips up but because Marketiva usually lock out during news hour, I finally end up at a lost. Well its forex anyway. If you dont lose in forex you dont feel the thrill.
Anyway Im going to review few pairs. Maybe some of you can find a trade from my review. As for me I am currently out of the market waiting for it to come to sense. Currently all pairs are at extreme oversold or overbought.
Eur/Usd
Currently at 1.2532 after a drop of almost 200 pips. Currently its on a thin downtrend with a possible target of 1.2450. For those of you who are already on a short position, you may hold the position with trailing stop loss of your choice. For me I will only consider an entry at 1.2450, that will depend on the strength of the momentum.
Gbp/Usd
Currently at 1.8540 and just like eur/usd it drop like a rock during NFP report out. Possible target is 1.8200. Looks like a retrace coming soon. Just watch the trend and momentum for possible entry. I will be looking at this one.
Usd/Cad
Currently at 1.1330. My last signal manage to get me 30 pips. Too small for the effort. Currently going up with possible target of 1.1450. Overshot all indicators. Possible retrace at 1.1360. I will be watching this one.
This is my review. Its not a trade recommendation. Be very carefull on your trade coz forex is a risky market. If you are not sure better stay out until the market make some sense. Happy trading.

How To Trade The Trend
This is going to be short and simple. The best system is the simplest. Take any of your best indicators, apply them to daily chart. Look for the trend.
Take the same indicators apply them to hourly chart. Based on the daily trend look for entry.
If the daily chart is saying uptrend, use your hourly chart to find long position only. If the daily chart is saying downtrend, use your hourly chart to find short position only.
If the daily chart is saying uptrend and u have a short signal from your hourly chart, you can close your position and take another position when the hourly chart is giving the same signal as the daily chart and vice versa.
Remember forex is not about how smart you are. Its about discipline and money management.

Example trade using Bollinger Bands

This picture is a chart of GJ where you can see my entry, SL and TP. It was taken right after I enter the market. I opened 2 post there.

This picture was taken this morning after the price has moved. Its a beautiful picture and it works most of the time.

This is a daily statement of yesterday trade. You can see that I have closed the 2 GJ post earlier than my TP target. Anyway yesterday was a good day to trade. As for today GJ continue to go uptrend with a correction coming soon. Wait for that correction and enter if the strength holds.
